Please consider donating to this GoFundMe to support the initiative to build a borehole (a deep, narrow well to extract water in areas of scarcity ) in Kenya's Nchaishi village.

In 2022, local Masaai community leader Simon Maison Tong'oyo and his wife built a school to address the critical educational disparity faced by their community, given its rural location.

Besides providing education in an area where the nearest school is 5km away, the school was established to be the epicentre of the community, where Masaai pastoralists can access resources through inclusive and sustainable ways.

A persistent hurdle has been access to clean water

So we have started this ✨fundraiser✨ to build a borehole to provide locally sourced, clean water to the school and the community at large!

WHAT IS YOUR IMPACT??

One borehole on the property will provide:

Clean reliable water for the school - to support the school's daily activities.

Improve hygiene and sanitation - by ensuring the availability of clean water for washing, cleaning, and drinking

Support the school feeling program - providing water for meal preparation

Reduce the time and energy on fetching water - allowing students and teachers to focus on education

Promote environmental sustainability - through the use of rainwater harvesting and renewable energy solutions (e.g.; solar pumps)
