Speaking with the administrator of the Fredericksburg Food Pantry in Gillespie Texas, Vanessa stated that the pantry serviced 200 households in January. This past week alone the pantry has received an immense amount of calls and messages from people who have never asked for help before.   

Gillespie County is one of the areas that was most impacted by the ice storm power outages leaving thousands of people in the cold without power.

Mission:
On Monday (or) Tuesday 2/22/21 (or) 2/23/21, I plan on driving to Gillespie County, Texas from Orange County, CA to deliver food and water to the Fredericksburg Food Pantry that serves Gillespie County.

Vanessa stated that the pantry needs the following:
Meat, flour, sugar, canned and dry beans, canned meat, canned chili, canned pork, canned chicken, crackers, soup and macaroni. 


+/- 2% of the funds raised will go to a Cargo Van rental, gas and potential lodging, I'll sleep in the van if I have to. All remaining funds will go towards food and water for the pantry. The plan is to stock up at Costco in either California, Arizona or New Mexico.
