Washington Latin PCS Varsity Cheer Uniforms

Hi, my name is Kathya, and I am fundraising for new uniforms for the Washington Latin PCS Varsity Cheerleading team. After Covid-19 hit and schools were shut down, many athletes had a hard time grasping the concept that they could not play their favorite sports anymore during the school year. As our school opened up after the pandemic, sports commenced once again. Cheerleading was one of those sports, and with a new team of girls and different personalities, the team tried its best to hang in there. With stresses like unpredictable basketball games, cheers that had to be taught to a brand new group, and only one returning cheerleader from the past year, the pressure of trying to find affordable uniforms for all the girls in such little time did not help. Although they were accepted at the time, the uniforms that were ultimately bought did not quite precisely give the girls the confidence and daring spirit that would have been shown if they had been given better uniforms. There were constant complaints about the uniforms, and it was a complete downer that we did not feel the best in our uniforms like we should have. As one of the captains of the cheer team, I am making it a vast priority to make sure the girls on the cheerleading team can have a smile on their faces and make the cheer season count with the help of these innovative uniforms. I have created this GoFundMe to raise money so that we can afford the new uniforms designed for us and contribute to our cheerleading team's fresh start.
