Washing Post Mommy of 8

Hi, my name is Samara and I am the mother of eight wonderful young humans. I was featured in the Washington Post regarding the millions of Americans struggling through this Pandemic Frenzy!! Currently I am one of those Americans!! Up until September I was pretty self sufficient with raising a large family. I worked the same job for 10 years in the medical field. I lost my job in September and I never thought I would get to this point. The job offers I have gotten are hours away. Which means Relocating. This is unreal!!! Don’t get me wrong I am remaining hopeful that I will find another job real soon that is safe and adequate for me to bring us back to the surface. The electric bill has gotten beyond my control(over 3000 dollars). I have gone through emotional, mental and physical stress these past few months and I keep telling myself- We’re gonna get through this,,,God has never failed me!! Christmas is tomorrow, but at this point I’m telling the kiddos that the real reason for Christmas is about being happy for the breath in our bodies. I tell them to keep in mind that there is some family worse off than we are. I’m praying for a miracle soon!Merry Christmas in spite of everything we see going on in the World!!
