Hi friends and family,
As a mom, one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face is watching my son begin another battle with cancer. Recently, he was diagnosed with Stage IIB Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) — an aggressive type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that affects the body’s lymphatic system. Without treatment, it can spread quickly, but chemotherapy offers the best chance of beating it.
He began chemotherapy on Monday, 8/11. The treatments are intense and come with serious side effects. He’s already dealing with fatigue, weakness, and malnutrition — and chemo will make it even harder for him to work or care for himself.
My heart longs to be there with him — to hold his hand through treatment, help with meals, and remind him that he’s not alone. Unfortunately, I’m not in a financial position to make this trip on my own, and I know that in the coming months, he may also need help covering basic living costs while he’s unable to work full-time.
This fundraiser will help with:
• Travel costs so I can be by his side during treatment
• Support for his living expenses while he’s unable to work
• Groceries and nutrition to help keep his strength up.
If you can give, no matter the amount, it will make a difference. If you can’t give financially, we deeply appreciate your prayers and encouragement.
We believe God will carry him — and us — through this.
Thank you for being part of his support team and for helping us walk this road in faith, love, and hope.
With gratitude and love, Dana
