Warrior Music Songwriting Retreat Sponsors
Tax deductible
Warrior Music Foundation’s quarterly Songwriting Retreats remain one of the cornerstone programs offered by the foundation. For these retreats, we match every veteran applicant with a professional songwriter where over the course of two days, each pairing writes a song that tells the veteran’s story—whatever that story may be. The entire retreat is overseen by the foundation’s board-certified music therapists, who offer all necessary therapeutic support. These powereful sessions increase emotional expression and communication, provide opportunities for expressive creativity, while also reducing social isolation. These goals are continually achieved at every retreat as veterans have written deeply personal songs addressing a variety of topics, including: self-confidence, self-acceptance, grief, coping with loss, past Trauma, and family relationships. The results of these retreats not only positively impacts its participants, but that impact extends to family members and friends as veterans have written songs to their children, their spouses, and former and lifelong friends.
If you want to make an immediate change in the life of a veteran, consider sponsoring the songwriting retreats. Any donation helps, but for donations over $500, we will include your name/logo on our website and social media. You can save someone's life through this program!
