Buddies For Our Buddies of Appalachia

We are Carl and Cassidy McGathey. We currently live in Abingdon, Virginia, where we own and operate a farm and raise two children. We are both Marine Corps veterans who are passionate about America and our community. While we did not sustain major damage at our property, there were many close to us who have.

We want to serve our community the best we can for the duration of the rebuild in and around the Appalachia area. During these fall and winter months in Appalachia, temperatures can get precarious.

Our family, with the help of others, would like to ensure we get each family the heating device and replacement tanks they need and deserve to stay warm this winter. Our mission is to provide a buddy heater (safe for indoors), propane, and an adapter with the funds donated to this GoFundMe. Some funds will be distributed to the transportation to ensure we reach all of Appalachia. Together we can rebuild this community. Thank you for your compassion and support.
