Warm Winter for Albuquerque's Homeless

My name is Lola Gonzales, and I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I aim to help the homeless community around Albuquerque, especially as winter comes and there are men and women alone on the holidays. I strive to uplift my community and let those in need know that there are still people who care about them and their well-being.
I'm hoping to raise five hundred dollars as a start to help buy sweaters, pants, gloves, beanies, blankets, meals, etc., for homeless men and women in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As thrifting has become “trendy,” most thrift stores have raised prices on clothes, therefore making cheap clothing inaccessible to those in need. Inflation continues to raise the price of food, making it more and more unattainable for communities of the lower class, a prominent one being the homeless community. So I ask those who read this to be inspired to help, even if it’s a contribution of a few dollars. We are in a time where impoverished groups are set up to fail, so please get involved and play a role in spreading love and generosity where it is greatly needed.
