Help Warm Clothes for Mountain Children (WCMC)

Hi friends, I wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

 

During my last Everest Trek 2021 I met many children on the trails to Everest Base Camp. They were running, playing, and going to school, but without warm clothes. It was below zero (Fahrenheit). Those children reflect my childhood, I grew up in the mountains (Lower Everest Region). Our parents experienced the same situation as their parents do now……. just isn’t enough money for clothes.

 

When I saw the children at that moment I began to think, how can I help for the mountain children? Their parents are not able to afford warm clothes for them, even in this cold winter season.

 

I shared this idea of small support for mountain children with some of my friends and they said, “That’s a really good idea Ramesh! Together we can create a GO Fund Me account for the “mountain children” of Nepal.

 

This is the reason I have started this small project “WCMC (Warm Clothes for Mountain Children).

 

 

Last week I went to visit my parents in the Remote Mountain Village ‘ODARE’ (Lower Everest Region). This region isn’t connected with tourism trails. It's about 400k from Kathmandu. During my visit, I distribute some warm jackets for 12 needy children. They were so happy and thankful. Words are not sufficient to explain the feeling of pure love and joy of giving to these children. That was such a warm emotional moment for me!

 

With their eyes of gratitude and my friend’s assistance, my next target is warm clothes for 100 to 200 children. I'll be going back to mountain as soon as we can raise enough money to buy clothes.

 

So, we, you, and I, are changing lives in our small way. It is not changing millions of lives, but with our small contributions, WE can make a big change in little someone's life.

 

Hopefully, more small grassroots, similar thinking people will join in any way or because that moves them…whatever, wherever and, however. Find Your Whatever and let’s doing something for the mountain children.
