Over the past weeks, like so many fellow small businesses, we witnessed how rapidly COVID-19 has slowly crawled through the world and inevitably through our city and forced us to close our patisserie temporarily for the health and well being of our staff, family and customers. We believe this to be the right decision to make for all but also acknowledge that this will impact our business tremendously and our team who, for the most part, rely on their work at the patisserie for their income. If our customers are the reasons why we strive to do what we do, our staff are the backbone of our business and we want to still support them financially during these challenging times so they have a job to return to when we reopen. All of the funds will be collected into Warda Patisserie account and 100% will go to our hourly staff to supplement their paychecks for the next month as we continue to monitor the pandemic situation in our city.
We realize this is a tough time for so many people throughout the region, our country and the world and we thank you for your support.
