CANstruction is a unique AIA founded International Nonprofit Organization which hosts competitions, exhibitions, and events showcasing structures made entirely out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the creations are on display to the public as an art exhibition. At the end of the viewing, all food is donated to local food banks.
JDavis won the competition in 2016 by building Captain America and hope to have a repeat win for the 2018 build! The theme this year is Save Our Planet and we will be building the famous Pixar film character, Wall-E!
At 6,095 cans, we need to raise $8,000 in order to make this creation come to life.
Build day is April 6th, 2018! We will be building our structure at Citrix's office in downtown raleigh from 8am-5pm. Anyone is welcome to come during the build hours or for competition viewing after 5pm!
