Hello, my name is Joycelynn Duncan daughter of Terrance Duncan. My family and I would like to shed light on Mental Illness. Many of you may not know that Mental Illness conditions affect mood, thinking, and behavior. It is associated with distress and functioning in social work or family activities. Numerous things could cause one to be put in a different state of mind, like childhood trauma, PTSD, chemical imbalance etc. On October 31st, 2022 my father lost his life due to his battle with a Mental Illness. He was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He made sure that everyone was good. He didn’t say too much, a very laid back type of guy that everyone loved. In honor of him (Terrance Duncan) my family and I would like to bring awareness & share light to anyone dealing with Mental Health and find resources to assist one that may be suffering through the world. This is something that does not need to be taken lightly. As a whole we will be advocating the need of better laws, resources, facilities, and better ways to handle situations as such. Walk With Terrance’s Fight will be a non profit organization to help not only the ones that are fighting, but their families as well. Know that you are not alone and we are here to help in any way, shape or form. We want to try to prevent (if possible) the pain that we are currently going through.
