Walking the Dogs - for Daniel’s Dog
Donation protected

And this is my sister Judith and I walking in the Alps in France last Summer.

Emily is a great Mum who loves her two adopted sons to the moon and back, and if you read Daniel’s story you will understand how hard it is to meet Daniel’s extra needs.
Emily says
“Daniel, is loving, caring and funny, and I mean funny, seriously he could do stand up!
But Daniel is struggling, he’s struggling with life, school and the big world out there. When Daniel was a baby he lived through neglect and many other things that no child should ever have to witness or experience. This left Daniel with early-life trauma and attachment disorder, which has impacted his life ever since.”
This is Daniel

Dan is much loved but his problems have increased enormously due to early trauma and sadly due to a severe ear condition which resulted in hospital admissions, 9 operations, deafness in one ear and consequent communication and relationship problems.
No local school, in fact no identified school, can meet his needs and he has become socially isolated. Even though there is help with home schooling the demand is huge and Daniel needs social contact with his peers and others outside the family.
Emily is the one who has to find a way ahead and she believes a therapy dog will help. This means Daniel needs to find £6,000. To read Emily’s powerful story follow the link.

Assistance Therapy Dog.....
WE REALLY DO WANT TO HELP DANIEL!
You probably know I have had Parkinson’s for too many years now. I am determined to keep fighting it and walking is fundamental to my fight. It can be very difficult and motivation in wintery wet Yorkshire is always a challenge.
Yesterday as I began my daily walk with Dora

I could hardly lift a foot.

Indeed at one point we didn’t think I could move away from Mr and Mrs Swan and their brood of cygnets who started clambering out of their lake onto our footpath to chase us away. I couldn’t photograph the whole family as it was when Mum and Dad swan arrived that I had to find strength to do more than a Parkinson shuffle. But we survived.
I need to keep walking.
Daniel needs help.
The idea was born…
We are going to walk 10,000 steps each day during this Lockdown, until the 2nd December.
For Judith this is pretty average but for me this will be my view and it will be tough,

Please humour us and make a donation of whatever size. If you have donated already-perhaps to Carole’s page then you are kind. THANK YOU. I know times are difficult. Daniel needs help now. Every £1.00 counts.
