For years I have thought about walking Long Island point to point. The idea would enter my mind but just as quickly there would be an excuse not to…It would be too hard, I am too busy, etc.

When my dear friend and mentor Jeffery was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in May 2025, I realized that there was no better time or better reason. There would be a point to my journey. So for the last few months I have been training, researching and obsessing over this goal.

With each mile I will be helping to raise money for cancer research. This walk is my way of honoring Jeffery and the battle he is taking on with such dignity and grace.

My goal is to walk from the Downtown Manhattan to the lighthouse in Montauk. I will start the journey on May 12th 2026. I plan on walking around 15 hours a day and camping at night. The trip is approximately 125 miles and should take me 3 days.

All donation will go directly to The Cancer Research Institute (CRI). CRI is a one of the top rated cancer research charities with a "100% score" from Charity Navigator and an "A grade" from Charity Watch. Over 85% of donations will go directly to funding research and medical education programs. Since 1953, CRI has invested over $570 million, benefiting over 9 million patients annually.
