Hello, my name is Judah. In 2023, my mom (as seen in the picture above) suddenly died of stage four colon cancer. At the time, my family and I had no idea that my mom had cancer; we found out only a few days before her passing. My mother was a woman of faith, and her belief in Christ was something she was highly regarded for. She loved to help her church and the people around her. She did everything she could to be a light in a world where darkness takes over.

This Mother’s Day, I had the thought to start this and donate all the funds to cancer research. Cancer is something that has taken many lives and hurt many families. My goal is to raise as much money as humanly possible to give to the research of a disease that has affected my family and many others.

MICRO-PLASTICS

These are found in almost every commodity,food or just items for beautification. Whether we consume internally or just apply on the external level, these pollutants have found away to enter our biological masses and I believe they have been and is the cause for many form of illnesses becoming over popular within our societies. For e.g; Samples from many persons with different backgroups have been retrieved and all have been found to have bodily fluids and organs over ran with Micro-plastics. Semen samples,Stools,Bloodwork and even large Organs have been seen to have these pollutants. Fishes,Cattle,Pets and even wild life have these deadly pollutants.

Cause for Concern

With Micro-plastic everywhere and coinciding with the high rise in cellular mutations and aggressive tumors and cancers.I believe more should be done to research Micro-plastics and in so doing, we will discover the means to rid the body and all bodies of these pollutants who overtime become the templates for mutations and aggressive masses attacking various organs within our bodies. They are in the brains,the kidneys,the heart and least they are in the lining of the digestive system! Cancer of the stomach has become a silent but loud factor in our societies. The young and the old are suffering and I believe Mirco-Plastics are the fundamental contributors to this problem!

What can we do?

Research has already began on the issue but NOT as aggressively as the threat the issue presents and is presenting. So far the there are companies who believe in flushing the blood ever so often as with dialysis is a means to regulate the levels within us from what we are exposed to. This is however super expensive and this will not be as readily available to each and every person.

My solution is to put more research into a simple flush or detox based medicine. All plastics have a temperature at which they melt or they dissolve within a certain environment. Waxworms, the larvae of wax moths, and certain bacteria like Ideonella sakaiensis, have been found to have the ability to break down plastic, with waxworm saliva containing enzymes that can degrade polyethylene. Humans have no known allergic reactions to Waxworms and hence research should be done in creating a flush like solution that can be used to rid the body of different levels of the pollutants. Is this possible?

Yes! Do we need to do more research? Yes! That why we will raise as much funds to donate to a research society to aggressively tackle this threat to not only this generation but the next. Micro-plastics even affects fertility in both sexes and that is dangerous! Imagine a fertile but polluted sperm cell or egg, this fusion has a high chance of a mutation occuring. Imagine Lungs lined with micro-plastics and causing all these airway complications?

We the people can and will as it begins with us!

The Cancer Research institute will need to use this funds to research and prove the link between Micro-plastics and various cancers and by doing this,they will bring the attention we need to this matter and also help me to help them research the solutions within the enzymes produce by the insect and bacteria that dissolves plastics. We can do this!

Hi, my name is Daniella Lopez, and I’m 20 years old. In December, I will run my first marathon, the Honolulu Marathon, to raise funds for the Cancer Research Institute.

Cancer has profoundly impacted my life. When I was 15, I lost my grandmother to this serious illness. She was one of the most influential people in my life, and she was always full of joy, faith, and encouragement. She inspired me to stay active, live a healthy lifestyle, and strongly believe in God. Losing her in 2019 was one of the most challenging experiences ever.

Now, my grandmother on my mom’s side has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and I’m watching my family go through this heartbreaking journey once again. Seeing someone you love endure so much pain is devastating, and I want to do something to help.

On December 14, 2025, I’m running this marathon for them and for everyone who has battled or is currently battling cancer. No matter how small, every donation goes toward funding research and finding a cure.

Hello, My name is Mirrah Peterson and I am a Senior at Chippewa Valley high school. I am doing a project for my English 12 class, and would like to raise money for those suffering cancer, like my grandpa did.
