On July 26th, we will be setting out from Ilkley and walking over 12 miles along the Dales Way Link to Bradford City Centre as part of Walking for Pride, a sponsored walk raising funds for Bradford Pride.

Why Is Bradford Pride Important?

Pride represents survival, courage, visibility, and community. It is the promise that everyone deserves to exist fully and authentically, without fear. Events like Bradford Pride create safe spaces where LGBTQ+ people can come together, celebrate who they are, find support, and know they belong.

Why We're Fundraising?

Bradford Pride relies on fundraising and community support to continue its work. Every donation helps make Pride events possible, ensuring they remain welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone. These events provide opportunities for connection, education, celebration, and support for LGBTQ+ people and their families across Bradford District.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of £400 for Bradford Pride through Walking for Pride. Every pound raised will help support future Pride events and ensure that LGBTQ+ people in Bradford continue to have safe, welcoming spaces where they can be seen, celebrated, and supported.

And because every fundraiser needs a little extra motivation...

If we raise more than £200 before the walk, Kody has agreed to complete the entire 12-mile challenge dressed as a shark.

That's right. Over moorland paths, through Shipley Glen, along the canal, and all the way into Bradford city centre, there will be a shark walking for Pride.
