70 kilometers at 70 in one day .

“Walking for the memories that Alzheimer’s tries to steal .”

I’m Manny Maciel and on May 16, 2026 I will be walking for a cause that touches my heart and families everywhere : Alzheimer’s Awareness. A disease that steals memories, moments and connections, deserves our collective attention, our voices , our compassion and action .

My goal is ambitious- 50,000

i believe in bold goals , just as I believe in the power of community. Every step I take on that 70k journey will be fuelled by the support of those who stand with me , through donations, encouragement, or simply by sharing the message .

5 years ago, at 65 , I walked 65 K in one day and thanks to your incredible generosity- raised 37,325 on a goal of 25,000 in support of the SickKids Foundation. The walk was inspiring and taught me something profound : When you push your limits for something larger than yourself , dreams , aspirations and soulful goals are achieved .

I would be deeply grateful for your contribution, together we can help shine a light on Alzheimer’s Awareness, support those living with it, and push forward toward a future where fewer families face its  impact .
