Walking for Children Springfield or Bust

I have conducted the Walk 9 times so far and done a total of 1946 miles. In 2014 & 2015 I walked from Highland, NY to Albany and then the Shriners Hospital in Springfield. From 2016 to 2019, I continued on to the Shriners Hospital in Boston after reaching Springfield. In 2020 I walked to Springfield (Walk shortened due to Covid) and in 2021 and 2022 I again went on to Boston. To date I have raised $82.000 My goal for this year is to raise $18,000 which would bring the 10 year total to $100,000.

In September of 2023, I will again be walking for the children with Springfield as my final destination.    This will be my 10th (and final) Walk from NY to the Shriners Hospaitals in MA. I am hoping to raise $18,000 this year which would bring the 10 year total to $100,000 raised. The money raised will go to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield (30%), Boston (30%), Philadelphia (10%) & Erie (5%), the Ronald McDonald House of the Capital Region (10%) and the Cyprus Shriners Transportation Fund (15%)

The Cyprus Shriners Transportation Fund provides free transportation to children receiving care at the Shriners hospitals in Springfield & Boston. Both hospitals specialize in Pediatric Orthopedics and Cleft Lip & Palette care. The Boston Hospital also operates a Pediatric Burn Care Center.
