Hi everyone, I’m Maria, and on the 28th March 2026 I’ll be walking 20km around Bedford to raise funds for IMPAKT Bedford, a local charity doing incredible work to support vulnerable people in our community. I will be joined by a wonderful team of voluteers too!

For over 40 years, IMPAKT has been transforming lives across Bedfordshire and beyond. They provide supported housing that breaks the revolving door of homelessness through wraparound support addressing mental wellness, life skills and lasting stability. Their specialist domestic abuse support service provides safe accommodation, expert advocacy and compassionate care to help survivors escape abuse and rebuild their lives with confidence. IMPAKT Food, their community larder in Bedford, supports hundreds of people each week with dignified access to food when it's needed. Whether someone is facing homelessness, escaping abuse, or struggling to feed their family, IMPAKT is there in Bedford and across the region, powering journeys towards independent, stable futures.

This walk is about more than just distance — it’s about coming together to make a positive impact right here in Bedford.

Together with the Trinacria Bedford association- who yearly hold a fundraising ball to help raise money for nominated charities we are hoping to raise money and awareness for this amazing cause.

The annual ball this year will be held on Saturday 25th April 2026. Together with the walk and the evening we hope to raise as much as we can!
