In 2020, my world was turned upside down when I lost my husband. Since then, I’ve been raising our two young girls while navigating life, grief, and eventually learning what life after loss can look like.
In those early years, I made a promise to myself to do something each year in his honour. From jumping out of a plane to organising fundraisers, it gave me purpose during the hardest times. The last couple of years, life understandably got in the way… but this year, I’m starting again.
Throughout May, I will be walking 100km! Morning, evening, whenever I can, to raise money for two charities that mean so much to me and my family.
Wiltshire Treehouse, who have supported my girls through their grief journey in ways I’ll always be grateful for. Children’s Heart Federation, supporting families affected by congenital heart conditions… something very close to home for us, with both my niece and stepdaughter being part of that 1 in 100.
This challenge is for my husband, for my girls, and for the families walking their own difficult paths.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even walk a few kilometres with me, it would mean the world. Every bit of support truly makes a difference
Thank you for being part of this journey! And if do you join me with this challenge & raise money for your charities please share your journey too
