Walk#ForJodie

On 1st March 2019 one of our Explorers Scouts from Barking and Dagenham, Jodie Chesney, was fatally stabbed in the back as she sat in a park with her friends. She was just 17 years old and this was a senseless murder with no clear motive.

This has been devastating for our Explorer Unit, and the news rocked the whole Scouting community.

One of our Scouting values teach us help others, and therefore in Jodie's memory have set up a project to help teach first aid skills to our local community, and provide public access to key first aid equipment to reduce major bleeding which we hope will help save lives.

Follow our Facebook page "ForJodie" to keep up to date with our fundraising events and progress on our project #ForJodie

#ForJodie launches its first fundraising event on 5th October 2019. A sponsored walk from Harold Hill, were Jodie began Scouting, to Mayesbrook Park, ending in a Purple Paint Run lap!

Join us in helping raise £10,000 to fund our project which we hope will save lives.
