My name is Kayla, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister Kensley and her husband Alex. They are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, and they’re currently preparing to welcome their baby boy, Walker, into the world.

Just two weeks before Walker’s expected arrival, they received devastating news: he has been diagnosed with TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries) — a serious congenital heart defect in which the two main arteries leaving the heart are reversed. This condition requires open-heart surgery shortly after birth and an extended stay in a specialized hospital, far from home.

As you can imagine, this has turned their world upside down. Instead of preparing for a joyful homecoming, they are now facing weeks — possibly up to six — away from their daughter, their home, and the life they know, all while navigating the uncertainty and heartbreak that comes with a medical crisis.

So many of you have asked how you can help, and it means more than words can say. That’s why I created this GoFundMe — to give friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers a way to support them during this incredibly difficult time.

All donations will go directly toward Walker’s medical expenses, travel costs, lodging, meals, and any unexpected needs that arise during their stay.
