It has been 3 years since we decided to start this gofundme page and we are beginning to fundraise once again this year so we can continue to support this excellent community initiative, we would love to continue this amazing project moving forward and be able to support the rink as needed. The funds raised will directly support the materials and additional costs associated with Walker’s Creek Community Rink.***

Our North end community is about to get our own neighbourhood rink! We now just need to get some help with making this build happen.

 

Walker's Creek Park has officially been approved by the City of St. Catharines for our rink build.

 

In order to build and maintain the rink we need to raise funding. This is where you come in! If you have the means to provide some support please consider doing so . This will be an amazing outdoor recreational space for our community. How great will it be to have an outdoor area available in our own neighbourhood?

 

We have compiled a list of volunteers for our build and will be circulating a volunteer sign up form for maintenance duties once we get the rink structure started.

 

The funds raised will go directly towards the materials needed to get the rink built (lumber, tarping, hardware & structural necessities) and supplies to maintain & light up the rink area. We also would be willing to accept donations of lumber or any materials that may be useful for our build. Finally the remaining funds will also be used towards flooding the rink throughout the season.

We truly cannot do this without such wonderful members of our community like you. We would like to be optimistic and hope that this can become a community event we can share annually so all materials purchased will be stored for the next season.
