Walk & Talk: 24 Hours for Mental Health
Mental health is something close to all of us.
What began as a simple idea — getting people together to walk and talk — has grown into a strong community movement. Walk & Talk is about connection, honest conversations, and reminding people they’re not alone.
Over the past few years, we’ve taken on long-distance walks for mental health — including Bendigo to Melbourne and Canberra to Bendigo — and we’ve seen firsthand what happens when a community gets behind a cause like this.
In 2026, we’re continuing that mission in a new way.
On Saturday April 18 (1pm) to Sunday April 19 (1pm), we’ll be walking continuously around Lake Weeroona for 24 hours to raise funds and awareness for mental health — and we’re inviting Bendigo to be part of it through team relays, a sunrise lap, and community support across the day and night.
This challenge isn’t about distance or endurance.
It’s about showing up, staying connected, and creating space for conversations that matter.
All funds raised will stay local and go toward supporting mental health initiatives and services in our community, including Lifeline Loddon Mallee, Let’s Chat Park, and Bendigo Health Foundation.
There are a few simple ways to support:
• Donate — every contribution helps
• Share — it’s one of the biggest ways to grow the impact
• Get involved — walk a lap, enter a team, or come down to support
Thank you for being part of this.
One step at a time.
Together.
