Update (8/4/25):
The Therrien family is doing much better and Deidra's surgery on her leg went well! Thank you to everyone who has sent prayers, donations, and love. It means more than you know! As of now, while Zach still undergoes treatments for leukemia, the need for paying medical expenses remains high. We are about half way to our goal and every little bit helps! Please continue to help pour blessings over this family in need.
Hi everyone, we're reaching out on behalf of our dear family, the Therrien family. They're navigating an incredibly challenging season right now, and we're hoping our community, friends, and anyone with a compassionate heart can help them out.
These past few days have been a whirlwind of medical emergencies and diagnoses that have truly shaken their family of seven to its core. Zach shared with us the terrifying ordeal his youngest son, Rayne, recently experienced. It was a medical crisis that required intense hospitalization, and after three incredibly difficult days, they are overjoyed to share that Rayne is making a miraculous recovery! He's off the vent, breathing on his own, and his stats are perfect. Zach expressed immense gratitude to the Martins Ferry Police Department, EMS, Benwood Rapid Care, Reynolds Radiology, Wheeling Hospital ER, the flight team, Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, and their amazing church family at New Heart Covenant Christian Center for their incredible support and care. Rayne's improvement is nothing short of a miracle, and Zach truly believes God's hand has been with him every step of the way.
As they celebrate Rayne's progress, their family is also facing other significant hurdles. Our cousin Deidra sustained a broken leg, a torn MCL, and possible meniscus damage, requiring imminent surgery. She will be recovering and unable to work for up to 18 weeks.
On top of these urgent medical needs, Zach recently received a life-altering diagnosis: leukemia. This news has added another layer of complexity and concern to their already difficult situation.
With these combined medical emergencies, the Therrien family is facing immense financial strain. We are seeking to raise funds to cover:
Medical Expenses: Including Rayne's emergency care, Deidra's upcoming surgery and rehabilitation, and Zach's ongoing leukemia treatments.
Basic Needs: To ensure they can maintain their household, put food on the table, and cover essential bills as they navigate prolonged periods of recovery and treatment for multiple family members.
Zach shared with us how strongly they've felt God's presence throughout these trials. While the road ahead is uncertain, we know that with your support, they can face these challenges head-on. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping them keep their family afloat during this critical time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and for standing with them. They are clinging to the hope that God will continue to make a way when there seems to be no way.
Please share their story with your friends and families.
With deepest gratitude,
Brooke, Vanessa, and Brittany (Zach and Deidra's Cousins)
