GRETTON PARK NEEDS YOU!

The Gretton Village Association (GVA) is working to upgrade the facilities in the Playing Field to make this fantastic village asset more accessible and attractive for the whole community.

The plans include pathways to improve accessibility, planting and landscaping to enhance the environment and new play equipment.

We have been working with funding providers in two main packages:

• Play Equipment. New play equipment will cost c£70k. With £20k already available we need c£50k and we have live applications for this funding. We will hear in October.

• Paths, greening and landscaping. Our bid for grant funding for £54k of the £60k required for these elements was not successful. We now need to consider other avenues to raise funds

The ‘Friends of Gretton Park’ is a community initiative started by a few to support GVA and raise the funds to make this fantastic project happen for the benefit of us all.

We are planning a fundraising day with a series of sponsored walks: An extreme route, a serious route and a family route. Our aim is to engage as many people as possible and stretch ourselves for the benefit of our community.
