Walk for Peace: 260km to K2 basecamp for Refugees
Donation protected
*** July 28 update: Thank you all for your support. We did it! We walked over 200km along the Baltoro Glacier from Askole to Concordia and back. It was a once-in-a-lifetime epic adventure. For more details, visit my photo blog post: https://jenniferchanphotography429346306.wordpress.com/portfolio/k2-base-camp-trek/
We are a family from Canada who will be walking 260km for 3 weeks in July along the Baltoro Glacier to reach the base camps of five 8000m peaks in the Karakoram range in Pakistan - K2, Gasherbrum I & II, Broad Peak, and Nanga Parbat - to raise funds for Palestinian and Syrian refugees living in camps in Lebanon. 100% of the money raised will be given to a Nobel peace prize-nominated local nonprofit, Assumoud, in Beirut to support orphaned refugee children.
