I'm raising money in aid of Child Bereavement UK and every donation will help. 127 children in the UK are newly bereaved of a parent or caregiver every day.

In 1991 when I was 12, I lost my mum to sepsis after she’d battled for 5 months with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. My family enveloped me in love and support and helped me adjust to a life without my amazing mum.

Back then, we didn’t have access to charities like Child Bereavement UK but thankfully now, we do.

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. Every year they train more than 9,000 professionals, helping them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.

Child Bereavement UK has supported me in supporting families of those patients I have cared for; children who have lost their parent and families who have lost their child.

In support of the 127 children in the UK who lose a parent or caregiver every day, I am walking and/or running 127km in July to raise funds for this wonderful charity.
