Wake the World (WTW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that began in 2008, with 8 families providing a day on the lake for residents of a local children's home. Now, WTW is a group of boat owners providing water sports opportunities all over the world to abandoned, abused and neglected children, as well as for the handicapped and our Wounded Warriors. This organization has grown to become the largest all volunteer organization of its kind, with over 500 volunteered boats worldwide!
Together, the Wright and Hoefling families joined forces with Wake the World and formed Wake the World Norris Lake. The focus is to bring kids from local children’s homes, who were placed there through no fault of their own, to Norris Lake and provide an incredible “day on the lake” experience and just have fun.
Every dollar raised is spent on covering expenses for the events. Please join us and help create lasting memories for these incredible kids.
