Wajax Supports Frontline Workers

Since the onset of the pandemic, Wajax employees have rallied to adapt to a new normal with dedication and good nature – all working towards the common goal of continuing to serve our customers and keep our company and suppliers’ businesses moving.
Not only are our teams working harder than ever, they’re working through a pandemic. Each of us is managing uncertainty and anxiety, at home and at work. And, we’ve heard first-hand the stories of our brave frontline workers in hospitals and long-term care homes who are fighting the spread of COVID-19 head on.
Some of those essential workers are our family members and friends – the everyday heroes of the pandemic. We are all touched by the COVID-19 crisis, and at Wajax, we want to do as much as we can to help.
The ongoing need for medical supplies and financial support continues to increase as more people in our our communities are affected by COVID-19. That’s why Wajax is raising money to support frontline workers. All donations raised will go to The Frontline Fund .
Let’s Stay Connected and Support Frontline Workers
Ever since we learned of a shortage of medical supplies in Canada, we have donated more than 5,500 pieces of personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves and goggles to local hospitals across the country. Wajax has donated an additional $40,000 to the Frontline Fund to support front line workers. Today we’re asking our suppliers, customers, and employees to collectively match that donation.
Let’s Stay Connected and fundraise as a team! There are two ways you can participate:
1. Donate a financial contribution directly. Remember no monetary donation is too small and every amount goes a long way!
2. Get creative! Think of an activity that you individually or as a team can do to generate additional fundraising dollars. Here’s what some Wajax team members are doing:
Complete an Ironman – Even though all formal races are cancelled, on June 20th Andre Dube will complete an Ironman 70.3. On that day, Andre will swim 1.9km, bike 90km and run 21.1km to raise funds.
Organize a virtual $5K Race! Run/Walk/Bike. Can’t run in groups outside? No problem! The idea here is for supporters to pledge to run or walk any number of KMs or number of consecutive days, whether by themselves outdoors, with their family or their dog, or on a treadmill at home
Readathon or bookathon – raise dollars for every book or page you read.
Host a virtual Yoga class.
Organize a remote cooking challenge.
Once you have decided on your activity, tell your friends, colleagues, and professional networks. Send them the GoFundMe link and encourage them to donate. ALL PROCEEDS will go directly to the Frontline Fund.

Je ferai un Ironman 70.3 en reconnaissance à tous les travailleurs de la Ligne de Front! En support à tous les travailleurs de la Ligne de Front, Wajax a amassé un don de $40,000 pour la fondation LigneDeFront. En plus, Wajax a remis 5,500 articles de santé sécurité à divers centres hospitaliers à travers le Canada. Je souhaite amasser collectivement un autre $40,000. Je fais donc appel à tous nos partenaires d'affaires (Clients et Fournisseurs), à tous les employés de Wajax et à vous tous dans le grand public à soumettre un don. Peu importe le montant, votre contribution sera des plus appréciée. En reconnaissance au support de Wajax et à votre support à tous, je me suis engagé avec mon ami Pro Triathlète Francis Martin à compléter le samedi 20 juin prochain un Ironman 70.3. Nous allons nager, pédaler et courir en l'honneur de tous les travailleurs de Ligne de Front qui jour après jour font face à cette crise sans précédent pour prendre soin de personnes parmi les plus vulnérables de notre société. Si vous n'êtes pas en mesure de faire un don financier, alors veuillez trouver quelqu'un ou une cause qui a besoin de votre support et faites un geste positif. Cuisinez pour un ami qui combat un cancer, remettez vos vêtements inutilisés à un organisme de charité, appelez une personne de votre entourage qui traverse des moments difficiles et soyez à l'écoute, etc... Bref, un don en argent sera apprécié mais un don de votre temps le sera tout autant. Veuillez ne pas hésiter à partager ces bonnes actions partout sur les réseaux sociaux particulièrement sur notre page de levée de fonds. Que ce soit le partage d'une photo ou d'une courte capsule vidéo de vous dans l'accomplissement de votre contribution sera un message de Support et d'Espoir pour tous les travailleurs de la Ligne de Front.
