Wainscott Family Home Fire Relief Fund-Total Loss
Donation protected
Fundraising for our loved ones, the Wainscotts. Amanda and Jonas woke up at 2 am to their home on fire. They are parents to 4 beautiful children (19 y/o Harlie, 15 y/o Dylan, 12 y/o Gabby, and 4 y/o Benny) and the owner of 2 dogs and one cat. They had to evacuate their home, losing all their belongings. Jonas was treated for smoke inhalation on the scene after attempting to go back for their pets, and they unfortunately lost their cat, as well as another cat they were pet-sitting for, in the fire. Simon, Benny's service cat, is believed to be running in the catnip garden of cat heaven. Thankfully, the rest of the family escaped safely, only making it out in their pajamas. The fire was devastating, and this beautiful family has lost their home and everything they own. The firefighters told them whatever was in the house is not coming back.
From Dodge City Fire Department: In the morning of April 21, 2022, at 2:19am Dodge City Fire Department with the assistance of Ford. County Fire & EMS responded to a structure fire at a multi-family dwelling on E. Brier. When fire crews arrived, the fire was already well established... The structural integrity of the building began to fail quickly into firefighting operations so fire personnel withdrew from the apartments and went into defensive mode to try to stop the fire from the outside of the building... It took around 3 hours for firefighters to bring the fire under control.
Thank you to the fire department for keeping this family and others safe.
This is an incredible family, filled with love and positivity. They are hard-working and humble, not the kind of people to ask for anything, but they need our help. If you are able, we ask for you to donate anything you can--even just a dollar--to help them rebuild their lives. If you are unable to support financially, please share this post to others in your community. Imagine the good we could do if hundreds of people see this relief fund, donating whatever they could manage. Thank you very much for any support you can give.
