Volunteer Trip to Bali

This summer I'm going to Bali with a good friend through International Volunteers Headquarters. We will spend one week in Ubud learning about Balinese culture, and another week on the island of Nusa Penida rehabilitating sea turtles. The first week includes language lessons, painting classes, Indonesian cooking classes, and walks through nearby rice fields. The second week we work with the turtles for 3 to 4 hours a day, feeding and cleaning them, and caring for those who are the victims of commercial fishing. We also participate in beach clean ups and catch live food for the turtles. The second half of the day we take part in other conservation projects, such as waste management solutions, collecting data on the turtles, and releasing them back into the wild. Contributions to my GoFundMe page will go towards plane tickets, travel insurance, and program fees which pay for my housing and meals and all the activities mentioned above.
