Just a little something to help ❤️

Soooo here we go!! My first fundraiser in memory of my Nanny and Daddy ️❤️

I will be doing Tough Mudder on 20th September to support Friends of the Hospital- Eastbourne DGH to help raise some money so they are able to provide more resources to help other patients and family’s just like ours ❤️

Some of you may be aware that recently myself and my family went through the most heartbreaking time in our lives.

In July 2023 my daddy was rushed to hospital. For him to feel unwell was unheard of, he’s worked so hard his whole life and never taken a day off sick. He was in and out of hospital for the course of 5 months.

We didn’t leave the hospital and stayed with him right up until the 3rd January 2024 when he peacefully passed away with us holding his hand.

My daddy was the most strong, positive and caring man I’ve ever met, who absolutely adored his family ❤️

On 19th December 2023 my nanny fell poorly whilst on the way out for the day with my grandad. Only 4 hours later we found out she had sadly passed away. This was a huge shock to our family.

The nurses at Eastbourne District General were absolutely incredible and to us as a family they were the most understanding, caring and supportive but we could see how much pressure they were under and how little staff they had. We cannot thank them enough.

One thing my daddy said to me before he passed was .. “you’d be an amazing nurse” however he knows my phobias of needles so rather than become a nurse I wanted to raise some money for the Hospital for the care they gave my Daddy and Nanny ️❤️
