Welcome!
Kagoma Kanyange Foundation is a charity organization helping children and youth who are homeless, orphaned & idle through football programs and community support.
The foundation commenced in 2023 after the founder-Ntegeka Conrad relocated from Norway to Uganda with a vision to build a football school that would impact life and independent living skills to the homeless, orphaned & idle children and youth in Kagoma Kanyange community through football. This vision is premised on the belief & inspired by the words of Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee that: "the world of sport is not separate from the rest of the world. Sport breaks down barriers, promotes self-esteem and can teach life skills and healthy behavior." Therefore, the goal is to use football as a tool for education and social development.
The foundation’s success lies in its ability to adapt to the needs of diverse Kagoma Kanyange community, helping the young people build essential life skills and addressing social issues at a community level. By using football as a platform for social change, the foundation seeks to positively impact on the community to address issues such as poverty, substance abuse, gambling, theft and sex abuse among young people. After the founder’s brother-Kyagonza Matthew, recently succumbed to the pressures of the environment in Kagoma Kanyange community, this enhanced the foundation’s resolve to further deliver on its mandate.
The looming poverty in Kagoma Kanyange community has left little to no options for the guardians of the youth people to forgo their caretaker responsibilities in search of money. Due to this, many young people have been left abandoned, homeless, orphaned and idle. This vacuum is an entrapment for the young people to fall victim to the environmental evils and pressures surrounding them like drugs, sex, gambling and robberly.
Our foundation is continuously bridging this vacuum and gap through engaging the young people in holistic football programs that integrate technical football skills with life and independent living skills. Some life skills themes we are impacting through football on and off the pitch are social skills, discipline, respect, personal control, organization and leadership etc. By actively participating in these football programs, the young people are diverted away from partaking in the evils & pressures within the community.
This foundation also promotes inclusivity and gender equality, having made it its mission to ensure that young girls have the same opportunities as boys to engage in football, which is often seen as a male-dominated sport in many parts of the world.
Lastly, by using the resources secured through your donations, we are helping to create a more inclusive environment for young people, where everyone, regardless of their background or gender, can feel confident and capable of sustainably surviving in our erratic society, we therefore humbly request your help towards the 2026 calendar.
