Help My Best Friend Emma Rebuild After a Traumatic Assault.

Hi everyone,

I'm creating this GoFundMe for my best friend, Emma or some may know her as Pita, someone whose spirit has always been bigger than life. If you know her, you know she's the wild, crazy, loud-laughing, fun-loving friend who is always cracking jokes and making you laugh. She's the one dancing first, laughing hardest, and somehow making everyone else feel braver just by being herself.

Recently, Emma experienced something no one should ever have to endure. She was assaulted by someone she trusted, and it has shaken her world in ways none of us could have imagined. Watching someone so bold, bright, and fearless go through something so painful has been heartbreaking.

She's trying so hard to stay strong, but the truth is: trauma doesn't care how tough or outgoing you are. It hits deep. And right now, she needs love, patience, and real support more than ever.

Her mom, a single mother who has always done everything she can for her kids, has had to miss work to make sure Emma is safe, supported, and able to begin healing. That's put them behind on bills and added a lot of stress during a time that is already overwhelming.

I'm hoping to raise money to give Emma the space to heal without the guilt of financial burden this has placed on her mom. She deserves to focus on her recovery, not to feel responsible for the stress this situation has created. Emma is loud, loving, chaotic in the best way, and full of fire -- and she deserves to get that fire back. She deserves to feel safe again. She deserves a community that wraps around her the same way she has wrapped around so many of us.
