Hello! My name is Sarah Hughes. When I was sixteen I lost my father to cancer so I have always had a special place in my heart for orphans. When I became aware of Heart-to-Heart Africa and the amazing work they do with the children in Tanzania, I wanted to help.
How do you really make a difference in the lives of others?
Heart-to-Heart Africa is an organization that really helps people to come out of poverty, not by giving money, but rather through education. Knowledge is power. Education can improve generations.
Literacy is powerful.
When Christine Nimeth started going to Africa she started teaching children who could pay for schooling. One day a child came up to her and asked, “Can you teach me?” she found out that this child had no money and therefore no opportunity for education. That’s when she knew that these children who had little to no education knew the power education.
Many children have come back to give gifts to her for changing their lives and giving them an opportunity to provide for themselves.
This isn’t just for one, it’s for all subsequent generations! That’s POWERFUL!!
I am asking for donations so I can be a part of Heart to Heart Africa. Even small donations will buy books and educational materials for many children. You will also help me go there to learn how to serve these children in need.
