A boy and his dog

Donation protected
This is Buddy, blue-eyed, cat-fixated, ball-chasing but well-mannered. My son named him Buddy because he said .. he was his “Buddy”.

I’ve not done anything like this before, but after seeing my son literally break down in tears after having received the diagnosis, I just wanted to see if I could help give Buddy all the opportunities available for treatment. We live a relatively low-key life when it comes to social media, so I'm not sure how many people this will actually get seen by.

Buddy is a 4-year-old border collie and was diagnosed today with cancer. My son noticed his lymph nodes were swollen about a couple of weeks ago, and immediately took him to see his vet. After a blood test, it was confirmed that he has cancer.

The last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed that Buddy takes frequent rests in the middle of the floor now. Normally, Buddy is on high-key all day long with either a toy or staring at or “herding” the cat. My son loves to take him on walks and if you see a border collie with doggles on in the backseat of a blue car gleefully smelling the air.. that’s Buddy.

I’d like to help my son get the funds to take Buddy in for treatment and give him a fighting chance to have a long life and continue to be my son’s “Buddy”. Let’s make those blue eyes shine again both Buddy’s and yes my son’s eyes are blue also.
