Rally for Renee

Renee Kaiman Levy’s journey with cancer ended on October 29, 2022. Her loss is felt so deeply by her family, friends, and the beautiful community she created around her with her warmth, spirit, and zest for life.

With courage and the most positive attitude, she openly shared her experiences with cancer in ways that were sweet, brave, honest, and poignant. She was a shining example of how to find beauty in the small moments and cherish everything you can and everyone you love. She inspired us to take a “no day but today” attitude — enjoying every new experience, cup of coffee, piece of cake, and evening sunset to its fullest. Facing death, she taught us how to live, and her legacy is entrenched in so many ways among all those who knew her.

Above all, she cherished her family, especially her husband Sammy and her children Sloane and Griffin. She loved nothing more than spending time and making memories with her kids — dancing, listening to music, laughing, and snuggling. They now need the love and support of the community Renee created to help them move forward in her absence.

This past Mother’s Day, Renee said she couldn’t help thinking about the “what ifs” for the future and what it will be like for her kids when she’s gone. The proceeds of this campaign will be used to help them meet their new reality and live the life Renee hoped for them to have. (Renee did not have life insurance; she encouraged people to please plan for that if you haven't already.) We are forever thankful for whatever help you can provide.
