Training With Jake Family!
Wow! What an unbelievable, energetic ride this has been. Over the past week, we've seen an unprecedented number of PRs shattered, but most importantly, we've built an ARMY of MOTIVATION together. One pedal stroke at a time. The work we've done on the bike has sent rippling effects throughout the entire Peloton Community.
So why stop here? Let's spread our spirit.
The purpose of this series was to shed light and optimism onto our riders during a dark, and negative time. To inspire, motivate, and encourage others to saddle up, extend a hand, and lift each other up to great new heights. And you know what...WE DID IT!!
So now's our time to take it to the next level. Let's channel our electric energy and give it back to the world. As many of you know, I currently live in the heart of Chicago, where the community is struggling intensely with residual health and social need issues as a result of Covid-19.
Yesterday alone over 4,000 new cases were added in Chicago, and 140+ new deaths.
Before Covid, it was estimated that 1-in-7 people living in Cook County would experience Food Insecurity this year. Those numbers have skyrocketed since the onset of Covid-19 in March.
So I'm hoping together, through this amazing group, we can use this opportunity to raise funds for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. All donations will be directly transferred to the organization.
Additionally, at the end of the series, for EVERY completed scorecard emailed back, I (Jake) will make an additional $2 donation above my original contribution to push this mission forward.
I know many of you do not live in Chicago, but this community has given me so much. I hope in some way, Chicago has in turn, helped me give back to you through this amazing training series. Any additional donations you'd like to make at this time would mean the world to me, and to the City of Chicago.
We've done it team, we've inspired our community of Peloton riders. We've built our ARMY of MOTIVATION. Now, let's do our part and share the light. Let's spread the Feel Good Family spirit!
Proudly,
Jake Goldstein
