The Nichols Family

Hello! This is the Nichols family. Back in February we did a GoFundMe for 10-year-old Lavender who was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain cancer. Since then, Lavender has had three more tumors and has gone through two rounds of radiation. A couple of weeks ago while Lavender was at Boston Children's hospital preparing for her fourth surgery to remove another tumor, her father Steve was admitted to Portsmouth hospital with a serious infection. Sadly, Steve was unable to recover and passed away on August 16th. He was 39 years old. Lavender was temporarily released from the Boston Children's Hospital and was escorted by the Massachusetts and New Hampshire police to Portsmouth hospital to say her final goodbye to her father. She had surgery that Friday and will begin chemo this week. Many of you have heard about what this family is going through and have reached out to help. I am creating this page so that anyone who would like to help by donating can. This family has gone through more than any family ever should and in such a short period of time that is hard to even comprehend. Lisa, Lavender, and her son Stevie have only begun to grieve the loss of an amazing husband and father all while continuing to fight Lavender's cancer. What is amazing about this family is that even though they have gone through so much, every time I talk to Lisa, she continues to talk about how blessed they have been to be a part of such an amazing and supportive community of people, family and friends. With the loss of Steve's income and Lisa trying to focus on fighting Lavender's cancer, I know not only donations, but also your thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.
