Hello family & friends:
The past weeks have been filled with emotions, reflections, and difficult conversations. We think it is our responsibility to act and use our voice to fight against racial injustice. As a result, we are taking a stand and showing our support to the #BlackLivesMatter movement with our Fundraising event: JUMP FOR JUSTICE.
WHAT? JUMP FOR JUSTICE fundraiser event. Proceedings will go to Life Pieces To Masterpieces. LPTMP uses artistic expression to develop character and leadership, unlock potential, and prepare African American boys and young men to transform their lives and communities.
Remember, every donation counts! Even if it is just $5 dollars. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause!
WHERE?
Washington DC. In person meet-up will be limited to 15 people to ensure proper social distancing. We trust the rope will help to keep your space clear.
Private Zoom call. Those of you who cannot join us in person/prefer to stay home, send us a private message with your email so we can share the Zoom invite with you.
WHEN? Sunday, June 28, at 9:00 am.
As you might know, we have been obsessed with jump roping. It keeps us happy, excited, effortlessly active, and incredibly fit. Please note that we are not professional jump ropers or coaches (just yet*), but we are showing up for a good cause and to share our passion with you.
If you are a beginner, don’t worry! We will make it easy and FUN. The jumping session will take about 30 minutes, so please plan accordingly.
We will jump together.
We will sweat together.
We will have fun together.
But most importantly, we will fight against racial injustice together.
Note: If you don’t own a jump rope, please see below links for some affordable jump ropes you can purchase. We will also have a few jump ropes available in person, so please let us know if you want us to reserve one for you.

More information about Life Pieces To Masterpieces (Lptm): Our vision is that LPTM gentlemen will be catalysts for positive change in their communities and the world. Life Pieces was the first arts-based program in the nation specifically geared toward African American boys from age 3 through adolescence to young adulthood, and has been going strong for 23 years, impacting the lives of more than 2,000 young men. In an area of the nation’s capital where the rate of public high school graduation for "at-risk" youth is only 58%, 100% of the boys who participate in Life Pieces through their senior year graduate from high school.
