Morrocan Earthquake

A trip to hike the Atlas mountains took a turn. Witnessing an earthquake that continues to cause disruption across marrakesh is difficult to describe. In particular, witnessing first hand the devastation to the lives, homes and all villages surrounding the Atlas mountains.

We were fortunate enough to be welcomed into their local community and able to support whilst they work hard to return to normality after suffering great loss. The damaged has forced the majority of people to live and sleep outside whilst road blockages limit the supply of food and medical support. The spirit and kindness of the community is a true inspiration.

We have decided to set up a go fund me page in which all donations will be sent to support rebuilding infrastructure and irrigation ahead of winter. We will be returning to Aroumd on the 2nd November to hand over proceeds along with sleeping bags and clothes donations collected. All money will be sent to the village of Aroumd and surrounding areas. Any donations would be appreciated.
