Necessity Kit Project

Our annual fundraiser is back, this year we need your help more than ever! For the past 2 years we have put together “necessity” kits for people who are homeless in Toronto. These kits included: gloves, socks, hand-warmers, a foil mylar blanket, granola bar, $10 Tim Horton’s gift cards, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a resource sheet. Please consider donating however much you are able to, it’s for a great cause. The winter weather is not forgiving and there are over 10,000 people who are homeless on a given night (Fredvictor website). This year we also have COVID-19 to consider and will definitely be including multiple masks and rubber gloves in each kit.

We are also looking for volunteers willing to hand out the kits so please contact Sara or Ava if you are interested in participating :)
We will be doing the handout at the end of December, before the end of the year, all while taking extra COVID-19 related precautions and maintaining social distancing. Every volunteer will be provided with a mask. For more information, please feel free to contact Sara or Ava.
We would appreciate any spare money you'd be willing to offer, every dollar counts! If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing or posting to spread the word.
