Traveling to India changed my understanding of the world. It is clear how strongly we are all connected and how much the well-being of one can influence the well-being of the other and therefore the overall well-being. The disparity in living conditions between India and Europe in most cases is unbearable to a person capable of looking, I admit that sometimes even keeping my eyes open has been difficult.
When I met Amudha and Sundaram in Auroville I saw how better living conditions are possible and how these people constantly and always try to help the community by cultivating the land organically and their neighbors by founding schools for children working for a living , helping them materially with their personal resources, and by personally paying the salaries to the teachers, and by providing material and even clothing to children. Seeing all this calls me to action, and possibly all people of good will who wish to contribute in a concrete way. There are two main needs: 1) to buy organic seeds of various plant species in Europe, support the construction of a glass greenhouse to free themselves from the squeeze of the sale of GMO seeds which is sterile and cannot be replicated with all that follows: the presence of chemicals in genetically altered seeds, unsustainable costs and the need for the use of pesticides and dependence on the sale of seeds by large multinationals.
2) support for education for working children: children after the working day have the opportunity to learn the basicskills of education necessary for access to public schools. The education of children in the villages is completely neglected due to the extreme economic conditions.
Sundaram and Amuda goes at the end of the working day to the villages accompany the teachers in the process of picking up and educating the children who cannot go to school and need everything.
Both projects need financial support that will be personally forwarded to Amuda and Sundaram who will keep us updated with videos and photos of how and where our contributions will be used.
Below you will find the link to make your donation, even a small contribution will make a difference.
Amuda and Sundaram are ready to welcome us on site whenever we want to go and participate in their work and see for ourselves the effects of the change we have contributed to. Write us your email so we can keep you updated
