VS Group Beyond Borders – Georgia’s Kenyan Mission 2026

In November 2026, I’ll be travelling to Nakuru, Kenya alongside my colleagues and friends, Faye and Louise, as part of VS Group’s Beyond Borders initiative.

We’re incredibly proud to be volunteering and partnering with Burnley FC in the Community and working alongside African Adventures, a unique organisation partnered with 34 schools across developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar. Their ethical, sustainable model puts local schools first. They tell volunteers what support they need, and we help make it happen.

What We’ll Be Doing

In Nakuru, we’ll be working in a local partner school to:

For many children, access to basic resources can make a huge difference - and we’re determined to show up ready to help wherever we’re needed.

As a singer, I’m also hoping to bring my passion for music into the classroom - whether that’s teaching simple singing lessons, having a sing-song with a guitar, or just sharing the joy and confidence that music can bring. If we can mix learning with laughter and a little bit of rhythm, even better.

Why We’re Raising £3,000

The £3,000 will cover:

*Anything raised above our target will be donated directly to African Adventures to continue supporting their partner schools.*

And Yes… There May Be Elephants

Alongside the hard work, we’ll also experience Kenyan culture — including a visit to the famous elephant orphanage and a safari in a national park. We’re going to make a difference… but we also won’t pretend we’re not slightly excited about spotting giraffes and trying not to embarrass ourselves in front of baby elephants.

This trip is about stepping beyond borders - supporting education, building connections, sharing skills, and representing our community with pride.
