Save My Family From Homelessness
The donations we've received so far have been coming in over the course of a year. We've had to use the money pretty regularly for food, medicine, and other supplies. Please don't read the balance here as how much we have on hand or can withdraw. (GFM doesn't let you wait until success to withdraw either)
We're homeless and are desperately seeking help. Our land lord wouldn't accept any payments or plans. They only wanted us out. So now we're staying with friends until their landlord gets angry. Even after all our evictor put us through. Months without hot water. Years with leaking roof and wall. Mold. Broken sinks. This is still somehow legal to do to people
Employment has been dangerous because one member of our family is immunocompromised. Now that they have employment, we don't have a stable place to be well rested or a car to get there. Already had to call in several times because of lack of rest....
We're working on trying to get disability and food stamps but the disability process takes months in Tennessee. And I never heard back the last time I tried to apply for food stamps
If we can't find a land lord who thinks we deserve live, we'll lose our three cats, one of us will have to move in with abusive relatives, and two of us will be possibly be living on the streets.
We're a queer, disabled, found family. Please help us from losing each other.
