The Drama Dept. has always been built on passion, not profit. Everything we do, every show, every class, every rehearsal is about giving our young people a safe environment to grow, express themselves and feel part of something special.

We’ve always been open about how we run things, every penny that comes in goes straight back into the kids, the productions and keeping the doors open. That’s how we’ve always wanted it.

However unfortunately our recent audiences over the last few months have hit us harder than expected. Despite the incredible work from everyone involved and the successful feedback of the shows we have produced we have been left with losses. On top of that, we have essential repairs and bills that can’t be ignored if we want to keep our space safe and functioning.

This isn’t something we ever imagined having to do, but we’re at a point where we need to ask for help. Not for us but for the young people who rely on this place as their second home, for families who trust us, future shows, classes, and opportunities we want to keep offering.
