Hi everyone,

My name is Javane, and I’m originally from Point Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica, but I currently live in Canada. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my family back home, who have been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa.

My mother, grandmother, sisters, and brothers have all suffered significant losses. Their homes have been damaged, and many of their appliances and personal belongings have been destroyed. They are still without electricity and water, and communication has been very difficult.

The situation is heartbreaking, but I’m doing everything I can from afar to help them rebuild. I’ve created this fundraiser to raise funds that will go directly toward:

Repairing damaged homes

Replacing essential household items

Purchasing food, clean water, and other much needed supplies

Any amount, big or small will make a huge difference and will be deeply appreciated by my family. Your generosity will help them start to rebuild their lives after this devastating storm.
