Arlington MLK Jr. Birthday Observance Committee

The Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Observance Committee is excited to announce that our annual celebration will resume in person this year and be aired for those in the community who wish to participate but not attend in person. The in-person offering will take place, and this gofundme is another option for community members wishing to donate. Any donation will make an impact on our community. The proceeds will be distributed to public organizations and nonprofits that promote the goals of equality, justice and nonviolence for which Dr. King gave his life.

Previous donations have been made to the African American Scholarship Fund for students at Arlington High School, Arlington EATS, the Center for Jewish Life (following arson attacks), and the Mass Covid-19 Relief Fund.

The 2022 donations made it possible for us to give three $1,000 scholarships to youth and a $1,000 honorarium to Simmons University.

Your sponsorship sends a powerful message to the greater community, helps support the annual program, and keeps Dr. King's inspiration and message alive today and for future generations.
