Claire Desmond & Francis Burke
Claire Desmond is from Bandon, founder of Jack & Friends she is married to Finbarr and has two boys Jack 5 and Charlie 11months old. Claire worked as Regional Administration and Operations Manager with Harvey Norman for 10 years and made the decision to leave the workforce to be with Jack and help develop his social and communication skills. She has a bubbly personality and is very approachable; she loves spending time with family and is very motivated and interested in people. She returned to college and took on a Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy at CIT with two years to finish she is a firm believer in talk therapy and says it’s just as important as that weekly takeaway. She is an advocate for children with developmental disabilities and believes with the right supports, each child has the capable to reach their full potential and deserves the chance and opportunity to reach it.
Francis Burke is a well known character in the town, originally from Leap and living in Bandon. He works in a garden centre and does some bar work from time to time. He is studying a horticulture course and loves gardening. He enjoys spending time with family, taking photographs, going out to local restaurants and pubs, shopping and going to the cinema. He is a social butterfly and is very excited to be taking the stage on Saturday night as the Greatest Showman!
